Scope of the water data group
This group exists for accounts whose installation is a pond, a tank or a water body rather than a field. The box publishes straight to the platform’s own broker and lands in its own dataset, separate from anything a weather station sends. A sensor that isn’t fitted sends null and stays null in the record; conductivity, where a probe exists, arrives in microsiemens per centimetre and gets stored in millisiemens.
The water sensor dataset
Water readings carry water temperature, photosynthetically active radiation as the specific light a culture or plant can use, turbidity as a density or sediment proxy, and the raw turbidity voltage kept for recalibration later. Thresholds are stored per installation, but the engine that would evaluate them isn’t wired up yet, so this group sends no alerts today.
Relationship to the rest of the platform
Water accounts don’t run the crop risk models at all. They see the same market data as every other account, and can hold a weather station alongside the box if they want; in that case the Weather Data group applies to that station on its own.
